In this frame it shows the word 'God' being cut out of an old newspaper, this relates to the horror genre as most horror's have some relation to religion. The angle is upside down to give a confusion to the effect and for people to concentrate hard on what that word says and why they have chosen to cut that particular word out. You can't see anything else in the frame so it focus' just on the word. Just after this the words 'You got me closer to God' are sung.

This frame is also disturbing as it shows a young boy with his arms up and it looks like a pen has be drawn over his eyes, next to him is another person doing a simlar thing. These pictures look old which leads us to believe that they are from a long time ago. In the frame there is a metal type tweezers that have been used to put a bit of hair on to tracing paper. This could be to get DNA from it, people like the police do this so it makes the audience believe this man has something to do with the police. In the frame it looks quite light and the angle of the shot is to an angle of birds eye.

This frame flashes up so quickly that it is hard to see what is it without pausing it. I thought this was an interesting frame because it is all red and captures a womans face that looks seductive and possosessed, the way her eyes glare at you. Red usually means evil and love so it would interest the audience as to why this frame was chosen to be added. It is just a shot of her face so maybe she was another victim.

The following frame is an extreme close up of the mans dirty fingers, this could show that he is hard at work. He is pulling on what looks like a needle and on the next frame it looks like there is blood on it. Everybody knows needles are sharp and all these objects he seems to be holding or using are sharp which leads us to believe he is planning to hurt someone. The angle is side of and the lighting is bright on the mans fingers.

This frame looks like an old fashioned picture of what people used to do to others years ago. This could show that his man is researching what they used to do to people and is planning on doing the same to people now. This picture of this man with a spike going right through his head is quite horrorfying as it is visable what he has been put through. It makes the audience question why that happened and why this man is looking at it. It is an extreme close up, birds eye view of it which again shows it as if you are the man looking down on it. The fact that most of these frames are birds eye view makes it feel asthough this man has authority over all of this and is powerful in what he is doing. The lighting is shining on the corner of the picture as if a lamp is looking on to it at night time.

The next frame is quite disturbing as it is a sketch of a young boy, the pen draws a line over his eyes and then on the next frame he puts line through all of his face so that you can't see him anymore. This could show that he was alive and then he wasn't. The lighting is straight on him in a little quare so that it is what you focus on even though the casting names are on screen. It makes the audience think about what may have happened to the boy.

The next frame is a pen highlighting over certain words about 'WHEN YOU'RE PREGNANT', this could relate to the things this man has done to pregnant women. Using a black pen is significant because black represents death. The lighting makes you focus on the title and what is written there. Like the others the angle makes it feel like you are i n the scene. In the next couple of frames he highlights more words, such as intercourse and transsexual.

This frame has a black and white picture of an overweight human that looks dead. This could be one of the victims. It has white spots on the picture which could represent it being old. The mans finger slowly runs over the bottom of it as if he has just stuck the celotape down to put it in place. The lighting is getting darker and more gloomy, this could show things getting worse or that it is coming to a conclusion.

The next frame is of celeotape being ripped off by another metal tool, this gives the audience the idea that this man is working on an investigation in a room full of metal machineary that is helping him achieve this. The lighting is bright and visable to see everything in the shot apart from the blurred surroundings which makes the audience focus on whats going on. This is another extreme close up shot.

The second frame, of the mistry man cutting looks like he is cutting an ultra sound scan picture which would lead the audience to believe that this horror movie has something to do with a pregnant lady. The scissors look really sharp when he cuts it up, this would make the audience feel tense as to what he will do with the scissors. The camera angle is high and is looking slightly down on what he is doing, it is still close up so that we see every detail even though the frames come and go very quickly to keep the tension flowing. The light looks like it is coming from a lamp and as though he is working late in the dark.

On this second frame you see someone cutting up video film, again this is another close up shot so that you feel asthough you are in the shot. This shows the audience that someone has possibly taken some pictures and is now placing the film from it to find out what happened. These close up shots are typical horror because it makes the audience feel like they are in the shot and it makes it feel very tense and it creates an atmosphere.

This is the next main frame that the audience see, it is hard to distinguish what it actually is, but from the red/orange background it gives an indication that it is scary and makes the audience feel wary about what is might be. This is because red means danger which would be clear to the audience. The face on the screen is quite blurred which is clearly done on purpose to give this effect of what is could be.

The next main frame was this one where the same manly hand is writing on the piece of paper. It is a very low angle from the side which makes the audience feel as though they are looking straight at him doing this, as if they are there with him. They use a camera effect in this frame which makes the pen go fuzzy with his hand. When it does this there is a diagetic sound effect that sounds like it is replaying what he just did, it also looks a bit ghostly and creepy. The lighting it quite bright and is focusing on what the tip of the pen is doing.

This frame is the first we see of the title 'SE7EN'. Every time a frame comes up with just a title or writing, it is in this layout but in a different place on the screen every time. The font and colour is always the same, which shows that this is their trade mark for the film. It is very simple but effect in the sense that it gives that feeling of what is going to happen next as it just appears in a very chilling way.

The next frame is a drawing of a human that looks in pain, it doesn't look like your usual human being. It is a disturbing view for an audience and a confusing one too. It appears very quickly and then disappears, obviously for the audience to see quickly and then think what it could have been. This would cause the audience to fear of what may have been the unknown.

This frame looks like a tea bag being put in to water, this could be for many reasons, but one reason i thought of was maybe to make something look old but rubbing the tea bag on to a picture. All of these frames are extreme close ups and they come up on screen really quickly so it is hard to see exactly what is going on without pausing it. This is to confuse the audiences mind and make them keep watching to try and catch every frame. Again you can see the mans dirty finger nails again which could mean he is a hard worker or it could also mean he is a 'dirty man'.

The next frame shows what looks like manly fingers with dirty nails, this gives an indication as to what the character is like without seeing him. Here he is shaving his finger to get finger prints. This tells us that it is an investigation that maybe links with the police because they are the type of people that need finger prints. It is a very close up shot of this so that we see the details of the mans fingers and what he is doing to them. It is a light shot, not very dark. The next frame is of the next big male actor, Morgan Freeman, which looks the same as the frame with 'Brad Pitt'.

This frame introduces the audience to the first big, male actor who will be starring in the film, they have used the same black background to keep the style flowing and have used the same font for the writing. It looks like someone has wrote the name out them self which links in with the horror idea of it being spooky and strange.

 In the next three frames metal objects are the main view, which we can only assume are used to accomplish their ideas in the film. It is a extreme close up shot of all three metal objects which makes the audience feel uneasy about what they are planning to do with them as we don't get to see the whole of it, just a section. Again the lighting is very much on the objects so that it is the only thing the audience look at. This is the first view we get of the persons features. As you can tell from the frame, it looks like a man's dirty hands which makes us believe that this person is involved with what is about to happen.

This next frame shows a sketch of somebodies hands laying flat from a birds eye view with the red line going in between them. This is very abstract and is made to get the audience thinking who's hands are they. The lighting is very much on the hands as they are the most important part of the frame. Then the shadow of something swings back and forth over the hands which makes you think that it is somebody swinging from it, that has possibly been hung. Then next thing we see is who the film is by, again keeping the same font and colour.

This is the first bit of information we get. The writing is white on a black background which makes the writing stand out and is obvious to be seen. The text is very spooky and has long letters and jagged edges which shows to the audience straight away that this is a horror film without even having to hear the music. The text is placed in a very random spot, it isn't level or in the middle so that it looks neat, it is very randomly placed which could represent the fact that this film is going to be all over the place in the sense of information.

This is the opening frame of the clip, the very first thing you see. It is the front view of a book, where we can only see the top of the pages. The most obvious thing is the bright light in the back which highlights the darkness of the book. It makes the audience wonder what is the significance of it. The bright light is then hidden by a hand which turns the page, this is when the first bit of writing comes up 'New line cinema presents'.
